London Art Galleries Walking Tour

We’ll begin with a visit to an international gallery at its striking Mayfair space, known for its role in promoting the British art scene around the world, as well as showcasing some of the most prominent international artists. Next, we will explore another important gallery renowned for presenting museum-quality exhibitions that bring together some of the most influential artists around the world, housed in one of the most admired historically-listed buildings around Central London.

From there, we will move on to one of the most celebrated and important galleries of today, comprising a staggering fourteen locations worldwide. Lastly, we will visit a London-born gallery working with emerging and established artists, with a strong focus on female artists. 

We’ll end our tour at an art-inspired gastro-pub beautifully renovated by the same owners of one of the galleries, where British pub culture meets contemporary art in a singular setting. This journey through Mayfair offers a rare glimpse into the pulse of London’s cultural landscape, revealing how today’s artists, collectors, and spaces shape the evolving story of contemporary art.

Trained as an art historian with a specialization in contemporary art from Sotheby’s Institute of Art, Filippo Formenti has worked in galleries, auction houses, and with art dealers in London, Shanghai, and Milan, developing a sharp sense for trends in both the primary and secondary art markets. Driven by a passion for supporting young artists, he founded Torre al Cerro, an artist residency in Tuscany, and RUBEDO, an art consultancy connecting artists, brands, and collectors.
