Set between the mountains and the sea on the pristine coast of Puerto Escondido in Mexico, Hotel Terrestre takes the experience of sustainable tourism to a whole new level.
The hotel is as sustainable as can be - it’s self-sufficiently solar-powered, entirely off the grid. Designed by Architect Alberto Kalach and his team at Taller de Arquitectura X, this idyllic contemporary oasis features fourteen villas open to the air with its own private pool each, boasting an earthy palette of colours, textures and materials sourced locally, a communal pool for treatments, a hexagonal spa and a long swimming lane.
Terrestre is intimately connected to the natural environment that surrounds it and also the restaurant, Terrìcola, follows the same approach as the rest of the hotel, paying homage to the land via locally sourced produce.
