The Grand Hotel Parker’s is Naples’ oldest hotel, a landmark of timeless elegance and refined hospitality since 1870. Over the years it has welcomed generations of travelers, as well as some of the greatest literary minds of the time: Robert Louis Stevenson, Virginia Woolf, Oscar Wilde.

In the late 19th century George Parker Bidder III, a wealthy and eccentric English marine biologist at the Royal Biological Station, purchased the hotel and transformed it into a beloved retreat for sophisticated travelers from Northern Europe and Italy alike. Over the decades the Parker’s faced turbulent times. It was damaged during World War II, later struck by the 1980 Irpinia earthquake, yet each time lovingly restored. Notably, Neapolitan lawyer Francesco Paolo Avallone revived the building from near ruin, safeguarding its historic soul.

Today, with its fascinating rooms and suites, the Parker’s continues to offer a truly exclusive experience. Its unique location in Chiaia commands one of the world’s most spectacular views: from Posillipo, across the Bay of Naples, to the majesty of Mount Vesuvius. Adding to its prestige, The George, the hotel’s signature restaurant, has become the first two-Michelin-starred restaurant in Naples.
