Your adventure in a truly mountain sanctuary begins. Located in the heart of the Presena glacier, the largest one in the Italian Alps, this destination allows you to disconnect from your daily city routine and reconnect with nature and beautiful family stories.
The history of the Capanna Presena, in fact, started in the 70s, intertwined with the story of Elisabetta Marconi, a woman who dreamt to create a different future for her father’s hut. She started to manage the property together with her sister and brother (a ski champion) and imagined the look it has now. Not a place designed for skiers only but a unique and refined space with comfortable accommodations, a high-altitude spa, and a fine restaurant with a focus on sustainability.
This historical mountain lodge has a sophisticated atmosphere and reigns over a place enriched with legends and culture, l’Alpe di Siusi (Seiser Alm), UNESCO heritage with a perfect 360-degree view of the Dolomite peaks.
Rifugio Zallinger, established in the mid-19th century at 2200 meters below Sassopiatto, underwent a restoration and expansion project built by Karl von Zallinger-Stillendorf. The initiative aimed at reviving the original layout, replacing an old barn with seven new chalets beside a small chapel. From 1968 the building was reimagined by Hans Schenk-Trojer and today the Zallinger's legacy is into the hands of his wife Luisa and grandson Markus, who still passionately run it. This hospitality heaven blends South Tyrolean tradition with comfort, design quality, and sustainability where magic is spread all around, starting from the SPA hub to the restaurant and chalets. The perfect stay for your settimana bianca and Christmas fairytale, made to measure options and package deals to enjoy the heart of the Dolomites.
The sustainable pearl of the Swiss Alps: built in the early 1960s, the Chetzeron station risked being closed forever in favor of the modernized Cry d'Er line during the rise of winter sports and the economic boom of skiing in Crans-Montana. But in 2003 the place was reenvisioned by Sami Lamaa, who wanted to transform it into a design luxury hotel and restaurant.
Before acquiring the building, Taoist Chinese monks, experts in feng shui, were consulted. Feng Shui philosophy aims at optimizing energy circulation for harmony between humans and their environment, promoting well-being. The monks confirmed positive and high-quality energies at Chetzeron, so along with Louis Bégault, architect Ambroise Bonvin and their wifes, the new team embarked on an intense collaboration to create the stylish and refined establishment we have now. The hotel entrance aligns with energy principles, creating a unique, feng shui-infused universe that visitors may consciously or unconsciously find deeply soothing. Today, Chetzeron welcomes hikers, bikers, skiers, and nature lovers to its restaurant and terraces during the day. By night, the dark transforms Chetzeron into a realm of silence and tranquility
